One of my favorite Forums is called BestAdForum.com The criteria I go by is the activity on the Forum and the atmosphere. If you have a burning question that you post and you never get a response, then forget it. That Forum is not the place for you. If, however, the participants and moderators actually take an interest in what's going on and are responsive, then you are really onto something!
I would vouch for BestAdForum.com, big time! Just think... any questions you might have about online marketing, list building, SEO, traffic generation, you name it... can likely be answered in depth by some of the world's leading experts in their field. On the other hand, a great Forum can also be a place where you can just browse around to rub elbows with some really cool people who are just there to socialize and who knows? Maybe come up with a potential business partner, or just a buddy to chat about the burning questions of the day. And of course Forums are almost always *FREE* to join. But the greatest thing about being a Forum member is that you get to post your 'signature box' below every single post that you submit.
This means of course that everyone who reads your post or comment has the opportunity to click on the links that you provide.
Talk about potentially MASSIVE FREE ADVERTISING!!!
So get off yer duff and join as many Forums as you want, and then start posting! This is a no-brainer, folks. Get out and mingle... and stop whining that your wonderful web-page is under-exposed. It's up to you to get out the good word and share what you have to offer with the world. Forums are the BEST WAY that I have found to get started on this trek.
