Marketing Skyaak
Anyone who thinks that blogging is merely online vanity is just freaking naive! Chances are this attitude comes from people who lack the self-confidence to put their credibility on the line in a public forum. Put it this way, dude... I don't have the patience OR the interest to try to convert people that are still mired in self-doubt that blogging is a super-powerful tool to accomplish a lot of very exciting things. And establishing an open line of communication with potential friends and customers is not a bad start.
Not to mention, there are multiple techniques to create a huge buzz around a product while at the same time driving your rankings up higher and higher on the search engines. This means that you and your product become steadily more visible and therefore accessible to a wider potential market.
I'm going into this a little bit just to warm up the topic. I've been so slam busy lately with projects, working my hump off at my day job, and just life in general that I haven't really gotten into focusing entirely on all of the information that I have accumulated from the Internet Marketing Center. You know how sometimes it takes time to ingest big piles of information?
I haven't rushed into this because as explained, I have been just so busy with other stuff. And I also want to get it right when I decide it is time to really jump into it. Better to have a really strong foundation with all the proverbial ducks lined up, before launching your idea.
Hey, I'm not complaining or making excuses! Life is grand and it's all good!
I firmly believe that the Skyaak project is in the dynamic process of taxi-ing down a sort of extended runway in preparation for a LIFT-OFF! Www.NewDaVincis.com is the latest agency to contribute energy towards accomplishing this momentum. As we all know, it takes a LOT of ENERGY to overcome gravity and become airborne! It is a great feeling to see that this is happening AS WE SPEAK, and it will only be a matter of time before Skyaak goes from being relatively obscure to 'tipping' into the public consciousness.
As anybody with half a brain knows, any Joe Blow can come up with a brilliant idea
(or not) and then proceed to sit on it while whining to anybody that will listen that the world is indifferent to their genius. Cry me a river. It's obvious that ya gotta know a thing or two about marketing, and ya gotta have some very specific skill sets to move your pet idea from out of your mental closet into the real world. This has always been the case throughout time. It's just that nowadays we have amazing access to marketing tools that give us the opportunity to reach a potentially world-wide audience without neccesarily being a multi-million dollar corporation. Like any other worthwhile undertaking, this process takes a lot of effort, focus, dedication and energy. A large healthy dose of self-belief and confidence is also a non-negotiable MUST. Of course, it never hurts to actually have a very cool concept or invention to go along with with all the abstract things I mention.
I'm talking about the complete package here, folks. Style and form with great execution.
Well, there's my Saturday morning ramble.
P.S. Visit www.NewDaVincis.com to check out the cool new Skyaak Model 3. It is very prominent throughout the site as FEATURE PRODUCT. Wouldn't it be cool for you to be the first kid on your block to toss your very own Skyaak Model 3 around with your buddies? Over and out.

Skyaak Available Online!
As well, in the next day or so, you can link directly to the Skyaak Model 3 vendor site by accessing the page through the Purchase Product page at www.skyaak.com
This is an exciting new development for the Skyaak project, as www.NewDaVincis.com will be extensively marketed and developed over the coming weeks and months. Dan will go down in the record books as one of the early Skyaak champions who was one of the first people out there in the big wide world to recognize the amazing potential of the Skyaak project. As the project continues along its current trajectory to become the success we all anticipate, it will be easy for people to say what a terrific idea it is. As always though, it will be the first critical people who catch the buzz in the ‘early days’ who will ultimately have the hugest impact... and who will obviously have the most to gain from our shared prosperity!
Of course there is lots more room for other important contributions from many folks out there who have yet to make themselves known. In time, as circumstances unfold, I am absolutely confident that we will continue to forge a dynamic working group that will spearhead this exciting project along its visionary path.
NewDaVincis.com coming on Strong!
I checked in with Dan Tyroler of Long Island NY a couple of days ago and he says that the cool new inventor’s boutique www.NewDaVincis.com is coming on strong! Dan said that it will be 100% up and running any day now. I have had a few sneak previews and let me tell you there are some really interesting and innovative inventions on this site. I am pleased to inform you that Skyaak Model 3 looms large as a "Feature Product". It is very gratifying that a person of Dan’s stature ( he is founder of the famous site www.shop4patents.com ) has recognized the WOW factor of the Skyaak concept and furthermore he is dedicating his energy and resources towards promoting Skyaak in this exciting new venue.
Dan told me that he will let us know just as soon as is ready for public viewing and we will link directly to the page at our merchant site at www.skyaak.com.
For my part, I remain supremely confident that it will turn out to be a hit, as more and more people see it, fly it and experience for themselves the rush of throwing and catching this unique new device. It seems nearly everyone who comes in contact with it either personally wants one or else instantly thinks of someone they know who would appreciate getting one as a gift.
So stay tuned faithful readers... as Skyaak blasts its way onto the scene in the coming months. This will be a great ride!

*FREE* Skyaak Model 3 Winner!
As luck would have it, none other than my good buddy Wayne Reifferscheid ( regular readers of this blog will recognize Wayne as the dude who recorded a ‘locked-in’ (air) speed of 41kms/hr ) tripped the visitor counter on the Skyaak home-page from 1000 to 1001. So the number of visitors to the site is now in the thousands. 4-figure.
G-Roovy!
Wayne picked up on the 1st EVER *FREE* Skyaak Model 3 Give-away Promotion because he’s got RSS ( Really Simple Syndication for you Luddites out there ) feed to this blog installed on his desktop. When you install your favorite RSS feed, you are alerted whenever there is a new entry on the blog. Who knows, it might be another contest or news of an exciting breakthrough like when Dylan and I introduced the "Glow-in-the-dark" Skyaak accessory!
At last count this blog has hosted 945 visitors. There has been a baby surge of traffic here. In fact, the number of visitors here is rapidly catching up to the hits at www.skyaak.com .
So, I am announcing yet another *FREE* Skyaak Model 3 kit to the visitor who trips the counter at this blog from 999 to 1000. In order to qualify, the lucky visitor must leave a comment stating the time that s/he tripped the counter. A simple confirmation will then take place and the *FREE* Skyaak Model 3 will be promptly sent to you.
I have found that comments are relatively rare. Come to think of it, I don’t leave that many comments on blogs that I visit, but I will when the spirit moves me.
Please feel free to comment on any entry you see here that intrigues. I always super-enjoy dialoguing, rallying an idea back and forth. I know everybody has a busy life. I have to really put a constant effort into refreshing this blog, but it is focused on a subject that is near and dear to me, so bottom line...it refreshes me to do it.
>Do you have any ideas about Ring-Wing flight?
>Why did you visit this site and what are your impressions?

Skyaak ColoRings Close-up

Leo, the photographer-at-large who took all the pictures at the 1st-ever Skyaak Meet held her at The Resort Village of Manitou Beach, was especially fascinated with this ColoRing version. So much so that he zoomed in for these beautiful close-ups that I want to share with you.
As an aside, Leo was later approached by the Recreation Board here with the idea that he was entitled to a modest cash honorarium for all his work. The Skyaak Meet was part of the larger event- The Manitou Land and Sea Relay Race. The whole day was sponsored by the Rec Board.
Leo responded that he would prefer to recieve a Skyaak Model 3, so the Rec Board was obliged to requisition Skyaak Enterprises for the product, and Leo is now the proud owner of his very own Skyaak!

First Skyaak Meet in Pictures

Michael Gaudet, inventor of the Skyaak Model 3,
about to hurtle his trademark "Whipping Side-Arm Finger-Flicker" throw.
This technique provides maximum power with minimum exertion.

Young lady tosses her Skyaak for a successful, clean trajectory through the hoop for her entry in the 'Accuracy Event' of the 1st Skyaak Meet. The Grand Prize was awarded to Matthew, seen on left. Matthew was thrilled to take a Skyaak Model 3 home with him from the event.

Skyaak ColoRings Revisited

I have rotated this Skyaak Model 3 on its horizontal axis so you can see the dynamic effect of the ColoRings. There is a certain technique to this application that I have explained in detail in some of the literature. Briefly, I use permanent markers ( I prefer Sharpies ) on both sides of the Ring-Wing while it is still flat. Once I get close to the opposite edges, I temporarily construct the ring and mate the overlapping design so it creates the effect of a 'running frieze'. If you don't know what a running frieze is, it is a design that seems to have no beginning and no end. A running frieze goes on and on to create a dynamic, animated sense of motion. Appropriate, wouldn't you agree, for a design that is destined to go flying through the air, spinning like mad on its central axis?
The ColoRing concept adds another whole dimension to the Skyaak experience in terms of visual excitement, and also gives every Skyaak owner the opportunity to totaly customize their model with their own creative motif.
