One of our Angel Investors (who is an environmental engineer...one of the good guys!) has suggested a possible use for the Skyaak as a means of collecting atmospheric samples that could be used to establish a data base. The data collected might then be useful to track areas at risk, as well as to trumpet areas that show reduced rates of pollutants etc.
This would be accomplished by fixing membranes across the 'open mouth' of the front wing-wing, and perhaps trailing like a purse seine net from the rear ring-wing. When the Skyaak is flown through the atmosphere outfitted as such, it would harvest any particles that exceed a certain size, or perhaps there would be a way to attract every element that ought not to be there.
The soiled membranes would be then packaged and sent to Skyaak Enterprises. The samples would then be logged and analyzed to create the data base. I'm no engineer, so excuse me if the idea has scientific gaps.
This idea might accomplish a couple of things. First, this application of the Skyaak technology would, I believe, fire the imaginations of everyone involved. It would create an opportunity for 'every(wo)man' to feel like they are making a valuable contribution to addressing the greenhouse effect, and the thinning of the ozone by contributing to the data base.
And the data base itself might arm the movement with politically potent means to raise more awareness around the issues.
